Over the past few years, OEMs have been constantly working on developing new features on the smartphones. However, we could see only upgrades in the regular features and no significant changes could be seen in the design. There have been rumors about companies struggling to develop folding smartphones. Years passed and no such device could be seen. Believe it or not, the Chinese multinational company ZTE seems to be working on a smartphone named “Axon M” that could be the world’s first dual-screen foldable smartphone and the phone is rumored to be launched in October 2017 during an event at New York.

Now we have a reason to believe the rumors because according to a recent post on the official website of Federal Communications Commission( FCC), revealed the proposed design of the Axon M and it matches with the previous leaks.

According to a previous source, the Axon M ( earlier leaked as Axon Multi) will feature a dual full HD display that will combine and turn into a huge 6.8-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 X 2160 pixels. After folding the smartphone will be around 10mm thick.

The most interesting feature of the Axon M is that both the screen will be able to work separately and hence the user can run multiple apps at a time.

If we go by the rumors, the Axon M will be integrated with a Snapdragon 820 processor and a 4GB RAM for efficient performance. It is expected to come with a 3120 mAh battery.

Talking about the price, considering its features the Axon M is expected to cost around $650.The above facts are totally based on rumors and no official information has been released by ZTE yet about the specifications and pricing.

While most of the companies are focusing on the current trends like dual camera setup, fingerprint sensor etc, ZTE’s innovative idea of a foldable smartphone might turn out to be a game changer.Going way back into the past, the foldable smartphones from reputable companies like Motorola, Nokia, Sony Ericsson had received great appreciation and we do hope that the Zte’s Axon M will set a new trend for the OEMs.
