Xiaomi might launch the Redmi Note 5 in India anytime soon. The company teased the launch of a new phone on Twitter. The teaser is said to be hinting towards the launch of the Mi 6C, while the majority of guesses are pointing towards the Redmi Note 5. “i is coming soon! Any guesses what it this?”, says the tweet which has obtained mixed responses from Mi fans.
The Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4 smartphones offering premium specifications at a very low asking price. Both the devices are amongst the best selling device from the Chinese manufacturer. The recently launched selfie-centric Redmi Y1 sold 1,50,000 units in just 3 minutes. The company is ready to put an end to launching products in India, the biggest smartphone market in the world.
Manu Kumar Jain shared the teaser of the upcoming phone in India and believe it or not the launch of Redmi Note 5 could commence anytime soon as this timeline falls in line with the Xiaomi’s usual launch schedule. The Redmi was earlier spotted when it was listed on JD.com, Chinese one of the biggest online retailer and then on Oppomart at a price of $199 (roughly Rs 13,000) which makes the launch of Redmi Note 5 even closer than we expect.

Speculations have it that the Redmi Note 5 will feature a 5.99-inch FHD+ FHD display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is expected to be powered by an octa-core SoC. The phone will be made available in three memory variants – 3GB RAM 32GB storage, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
In terms of optics, The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will sport a dual camera setup on the rear with a 16MP camera sensor and another 5MP sensor, becoming the first Redmi phone to house a dual camera setup. There are speculations that there will be a 16MP camera sensor on the front as well. The device will draw its juice from a 4000mAh battery.
