The new year has started with the buzz surrounding the flagship device from Xiaomi – Redmi Note 5. The smartphone is the successor of Redmi Note 4 was expected in November of 2017 to be launched in January 2018, just like Redmi Note 4 which was unveiled last year in January 2017. As of now, the news is that the handset Note 5 will be unraveled by Xiaomi in the second half of 2018. The smartphone will be accompanied by Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor. Definitely, this device is going to be the first one to embrace Snapdragon 632 SoC.
There are many other buzzes floating in the smartphone world related to Note 5. The smartphone is expected to sport a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display having an aspect ratio of 18:9 with minimal bezels and will be carrying on the legacy of Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus by having a full-screen display. Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus were the first devices from Xiaomi to have full-screen display.
As far as the Snapdragon 632 processor is concerned, the users must know that it is expected to be a toned-down version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset. Furthermore, it is rumored that the clock speed will also be reduced to 1.8GHz approximately. The hit to the accompanying GPU will certainly provide a better support for the dual camera setup in the handset.

15 days agoIn terms of the memory, the device will be having 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage capacity via microSD card. The device as already mentioned will have a dual rear camera setup with two 12-megapixel sensors. Although, nothing has been officially stated by the China-based smartphone manufacturer. Yet, one can expect it to be true and will negate the earlier reports of Redmi Note 4 being the predecessor of Redmi 5 Plus and Redmi Note 5 not getting launched at all. Moreover, the smartphone is expected to be priced at 1,599 Yuan (Rs 16,000). Only time will tell how far all these reports turn to be true, but one can expect Xiaomi to come up with new ideas.
