Xiaomi might join the league of HTC, Huawei and LG by not releasing their flagship devices at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 tech show, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain. This means that Samsung Galaxy and Sony Xperia XZ Pro will grab all the limelight. Interestingly, a few days back it was speculated that the Chinese tech giant was to challenge the South Korean company, Samsung by unveiling its flagship device the Mi 7 at MWC, 2018 event. Now, a report by AndroidHeadlines, highlights that Xiaomi might not launch any of its major devices at MWC, 2018, but if a Weibo tipster is to be believed, then the Chinese smartphone manufacturer will be unravelling Mi MIX 2S instead of Mi 7 and Mi Max 3.
As of now, nothing has been stated officially by Xiaomi and so all the things remain in the doldrums. Nonetheless, one may imagine the potential reasons behind such rumors is based on the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are all set to get released on February 25, just a day ahead of the launch of MWC, 2018 event that is scheduled for February 26 to March 1. As far as the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S handset is concerned nothing much is known, but there is some information regarding the features of the Mi 7 smartphone.
