Highlights
- Feature spotted on WhatsApp beta 2.17.163 version
- Quick switching between voice and video call
- Users will not be able to reject the incoming video call if they want
It has been a great year for the Facebook-owned WhatsApp as it has rolled out a number of new features for its users including multimedia status updates, Delete for Everyone, WhatsApp Business and a lot more. Next in line is going to be the ability to quickly switch from voice to video call while the voice call is in progress.
As per the new report from @WABetaInfo, a popular website that checks Beta versions of WhatsApp, the internet-based messaging app is developing a new button that will allow the users to switch from voice to video call quickly without stopping the voice call that is in progress. The feature has been spotted on the 2.17.163 version of WhatsApp beta, but, there is a catch. The user will not be able to reject the incoming video call.

There also reports that the messaging app has also confirmed group voice calls in the latest beta version for Android operating system.
To recall, popular messaging platform official announced the rollout of the much-anticipated feature ‘Delete For Every’ that allows its user to delete or what it calls it ‘revoke’ a sent message in case it has been sent to a wrong person or a group. Other reports claim that the company is planning to introduce a new app for the iPad users which it may call WhatsApp for iPad. This app was spotted reportedly on the latest WhatsApp desktop a few days back. Also, WABetaInfo claims that the messaging app is reportedly also working on a feature that will allow users to mute a video.
