It has been a great year for the Facebook-owned messenger WhatsApp with various new features released this year including Snapchat-like status update, ‘Delete For Everyone’ feature and new emojis.
Popular messenger WhatsApp is now reported to release group voice call feature anytime soon. A twitter handles WaBetaInfo, which tests WhatsApp features early, has claimed that the 2.17.70 beta WhatsApp has confirmed group calls.
“The 2.17.70 iOS update has very hidden references to group calls! Before it was an internal news, now it’s all confirmed.”, said the tweet.
WaBetaInfo further claimed, “There are a lot of hidden references about group voice calls, but there is only one reference to group video calls. So group video calls are partially confirmed at the moment”.
The Facebook-owned messaging app was earlier reported to be working on group call feature and could release the feature by the start of next year.
Notably, the company recently released a feature named “Delete For Everyone” that allows users to recall sent messages. However, the feature only allows users to delete sent messages from recipients device within a period of 7 minutes.
