WhatsApp has finally introduced coloured text status update feature for Android and iOS devices, after testing it in a beta version. The coloured status feature in WhatsApp is similar to that of Facebook, which introduced the feature last year, allowing users to use a colourful background, font and emoji combination. Notably, the company rolled out a new feature allowing users to view status updates on WhatsApp for Web, dubbed as WhatsApp Web.
There are now different shades of WhatsApp statuses also. The update allows users to customise text statuses by choosing a specific font, background colour, adding emojis and add links too. Users can immediately avail the feature by updating the app, however, many users have not received the feature even after updating the app. Though, as per reports by WABetaInfo, the feature has been activated on all Android and iOS devices and a full fledged version has been rolled out.
