With 1.3 billion downloads under its name, WhatsApp recently came up with WhatsApp Business app. This app was released recently in a few selected countries such as the US, UK, Indonesia, Italy and Mexico, is now available for download in India. The users may download it from the Google Play Store for free in the country. It is not the first time WhatsApp Business app has made way to India. Earlier, in September, this app WhatsApp for Business was first tested in India and Brazil. Before getting rolled out for the public, this app was tested in India in partnership with companies like MakeMyTrip, BookMyShow and Netflix.

This app is meant for small businesses and helps in simplifying the communication between the organizations and their customers. The businesses may download the app under the firm’s name and set privacy for their about us information, status and profile picture. They may include in their profiles their business description, website information and email as well as store addresses. Small businesses may also make voice calls or video calls and enjoy end-to-end encryption security. They may utilize blocking contacts option and enabling read receipts. Once the businesses get a verified green badge, i.e. when their business information is verified by WhatsApp, then they can interact with their customers freely without bothering about the spam.

Furthermore, the users may also use WhatsApp for Business smart messaging tools so that to answer FAQs frequently and send greeting messages to their new clients, even when they are offline.
