Vivo Is Set To Launch In Display Fingerprint Scanner

On Tuesday, Vivo introduced the amazing feature of in display technology at CES 2018. This is a first time that smartphones are integrated with an advanced in display fingerprint scanner. Vivo took this step when it announced its partnership with Synaptics, introducing native in-display fingerprint scanning technology called ID. Therefore, this is going to be the first smartphone with the in-display fingerprint sensor, set to launch on Jan 10.

As showcased in a presentation, this advanced technology is the combination of the glass protection and OLED panel. After testing it for a long duration, testers appreciated the technology and considered it fast and simple to use. The proprietary technology of Synaptics is similar to alternative biometrics methods such as 3D involves facial recognition such as apple id and hence, is considered highly secured for the users.

Vivo has also revealed a teaser with the tagline ”unlock the future” at the launch of first display fingerprint reader. As reported by China CNMO.com, that the company is going to launch the product on Jan 10. The company has not revealed if the product is available for the global markets and the pricing is not out yet. However, the company is going to woo Indians soon with its latest fingerprint reader technology.

Synaptics claims that around 70 million units of in-display fingerprint sensors will be available this year. Display fingerprint is specifically designed for thin-bezel OLED panels with the taller than usual 18.9 ratios. Synaptics clear ID has been developed to replace existing fingerprint sensing solutions as the advances sensors have the ability to recognise fingerprints under layers up to 1.5mm thick, which include-screen protector: the clear ID FS9500 range is also capable to work with wet, dry and Goldfinger as reported by Synaptics.
