Joining the Android Nougat OS bandwagon, Spice, a part of Transsion Holdings, today introduced its affordable smartphone in the country. Christened as Spice V801, the smartphone carries one-touch fingerprint scanner as a major highlight, which is claimed to be unlocked in just 0.1 seconds. Priced at INR 7,999, Spice V801 is made available at select retail outlets in India and also features 1-year replacement warranty from the date of purchase.
Powered by a super fast 1.25 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, Spice V801 is coupled with a 3GB RAM and Mali 720 GPU. Moreover, the V801’s system runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. With a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixel, the new Spice smartphone comes with 5-inch HD display and a 2.5D curved glass. On the storage front, the device receives 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. The optical side is bestowed with an 8MP LED flash rear camera with aperture f/2.0, while the front to boasts an 8MP camera with inbuilt features such as Facemask and Beauty Mode. Moreover, the battery standby time remains superb as always in Spice phones, its 2700 mAh battery is said to offer 144 hours of standby time. Connectivity elements of Spice V801 include 4G VoLTE, ViLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, dual-SIM, micro USB port, separate micro SD card slot, GPS and Bluetooth. The handset measures 145.5 x 72 x 8.3mm.

The USP of Spice V801 comes in the form of fingerprint sensor which facilitates the users to apply multiple gesture features such as call via a click on the fingerprint scanner, instant access to frequently used apps and much more. V801 also lets the users’ access to different social media accounts (Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) simultaneously with the help of its app cloning feature.
