Sony Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, And Xperia L2 Ready To Go On Sale

In Las Vegas, when Sony released its Xperia smartphones – Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, and Xperia L2 at CES, 2018, then it kept the price and availability information concealed. Now, Sony has announced the price and availability details of all the three Xperia devices that will go on sale in the US market from February 2018 itself. The Sony Xperia XA2, as well as the Xperia XA2 Ultra, will get released in the US on 16th of the next month while the Xperia L2 will be unraveled on February 9. The online store Best Buy has already listed the three handsets and on the UK e-commerce website Clove, the devices are also live.

Price of the three Xperia smartphones

As far as the pricing is concerned, the smartphone Xperia XA2 comes with a price tag of $349.99 (~ Rs. 22,300), the XA2 Ultra is priced at $449.99 (~ Rs. 28,700) while the Xperia L2 is available at $249.99 (~Rs. 16,000). As per the Clove, out of the three mid-range end smartphones, the Xperia L2 is not going on sale for the first time. It was on sale at GBP 199 (~ Rs. 18,000), whereas the Xperia XA2 will be made available at GBP 379 (~ Rs. 34,200) from Wednesday, and the Xperia XA2 at GBP 299 (~Rs. 27,000) from February 22. Remember, these UK prices are inclusive of VAT.

The good news for Indian customers is that Sony might launch the three smartphones in India. If one may recall, last year also the Japanese company rolled out the predecessors of these handsets – Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra in in April and July 2017, respectively leaving behind the Xperia L1.

Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra And Xperai L2 Specifications

Powered by quad-core MediaTek MT6737T SoC Xperia L2 is the lowest priced handset among the three smartphones, which is accompanied with an 8-megapixel 120-degree, wide-angle selfie camera. The memory configuration is 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage capacity expandable via a microSD card (up to 256GB). Supported by a 3300mAh non-removable battery, the device runs on Android 7.1.1.

Coming to the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra smartphones, these carry Sony’s 23-megapixel Exmor RS sensors at the back of the phones, but do not have a full-screen and thin-bezel display. Nonetheless, the Sony Xperia XA2 sports a 5.2-inch full-HD display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and the Xperia XA2 Ultra house a 6-inch full-HD display. Both the handsets are protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass panel and are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. On one hand, Xperia XA2 has embraced 3GB RAM, whereas on the other hand the Xperia XA2 Ultra comes with 4GB RAM. Interestingly, the camera sensor of both the devices support 4K video recording and have hybrid autofocus with SteadyShot functionality.
