Last year the South-Korean giant, Samsung released the Galaxy J2 and the entry-level smartphone received a lot of love from the users across the world. The company is now planning to launch an upgraded version of the Galaxy J2 calling it as the “Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro (2017)”.
The handset was recently spotted in the FCC listing and Bluetooth SIG database. We can be assured that the device can be launched anytime soon. The FCC website also revealed some imminent specifications of the Galaxy J2 Pro.
Talking about the specifications, the Galaxy J2 Pro will have almost similar specs as that of the Galaxy J2. It will feature a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 720 X 1280 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz Quadcore processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB).
The smartphone comes with an 8MP camera at the rear and a 5MP camera for selfies. It has a 2600mAH removable battery this time, unlike the Galaxy J2 that came with a non-removable battery. We can also expect Android Nougat OS in the upcoming smartphone.
It will bear dimensions of 142.4H X 71.10W X 8T. Looking at the connectivity options, it will be packed with a dual SIM slot to support two Micro-Sims.In addition to that, it will feature Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth, and 4GVoLTE.

8 days agoThe FCC website shows two model numbers for the Galaxy J2 pro: SM-J250F/DS and SM-J250F. This indicates toward two different variants of the smartphone, one for a specific region and the other to be used internationally.
The listing clearly shows that the device with support 4G-VoLTE.The Galaxy J2 pro was a low budget smartphone and we can expect a similar pricing for the J2 Pro since we could not see much upgrades in the specifications.
