The craze for upcoming smartphones from Samsung does not seem to come down as we are receiving leaks and renders of both the phones almost every day. A new leak suggests that the South Korean giant will sustain the 3.3mm headphone jack which is becoming a trend these days.
The leaked image shows a set of USB Type-C flex cables which are said to be belonging to Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphones. The 3.5mm port can be seen in the bottom right of the module. The phones are also expected to feature IP68 water and dust resistance similar to its predecessors.
The leaked flex cables are speculated to be meant for the Galaxy S9 as the model number printed on them says SM-G965F. The “F” in the model number suggests that these will single SIM variants of the phone and variants should have a 3.3mm audio jack.
On one hand where big players in the smartphone market are getting rid of the conventional 3.5mm headphone jack, Samsung, on the other hand, is not willing to do away with the port.
Both the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will not only come with 3.5mm headphone jack but also be similar to their predecessors in terms of both design and functionalities. The display will be Infinity Display one and will be 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch tall. The bezels will also be a bit thinner. The standard model will come with a single rear camera module while the high-end model will come with the dual rear camera module.
