Samsung Galaxy S9 To Feature A 3D Sensor Integrated Front Camera

There are rumors floating around the internet about an upcoming flagship device from Samsung, the Galaxy S9. Yet again the rumor mill has it that Samsung is planning to integrate a 3D sensor in the front camera of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 plus smartphones.

This was according to a tweet from Ice Universe who tweeted,” Galaxy S9 will use 3D sensor front camera” on October 12. Even though there is no official news yet from Samsung, this will not be surprising at all if the rumor comes to be true considering the recent inclusion of 3D Facial recognition feature in iPhone X.

Samsung came up with Iris scanning and Face unlock for the recently released Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8. However, there have been several reports claiming these biometric security options to be a lot more unsafe.

Users also reported of unlocking the Galaxy Note 8 merely with a Facebook image and a printout. Meanwhile, the American multination giant claims there 3D facial recognition to be highly safe and secure.

According to various sources, Samsung might have developed their own 3D sensors for the devices which might prove to be a tough competition for Apple. In addition to that, Samsung might also include a new high-end ISOCELL Slim2X7 Sensor in the Galaxy S9. Please be informed that the ISOCELL Slim 2X7 Sensor is capable of supporting lenses up to 24 MP and hence we might see another level of professional image quality in the upcoming Samsung smartphones.

We can expect the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 plus to be released by mid of February 2018. There are images floating around the internet predicting the features and design of the Galaxy S9. If we go by the rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.It is also expected to come with a 6GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone is expected to be more efficient and faster than the iPhone X.

For now, all we can do is wait and watch if these rumors match with the actual specifications of the Galaxy S9.
