The South Korean company has earlier announced that it will be unveiling the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 tech event which will be held in Barcelona, Spain this time. Now, Samsung has changed its mind and is releasing both the handsets a day before the MWC, 2018 event. The handsets will be launched on February 25 whereas the MWC, 2018 tech trade fair will be commencing from February, 26 and will continue till March, 1.
Although not much is officially known about both the devices, it has been made clear by Samsung officially that the Galaxy S9 will be accompanied by a “Reimagined” camera. If one may recall, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, which were unveiled last year had the ability to shoot slow-motion HD videos at 240 fps, while one may expect that S9 and S9+ will be able to shoot full HD super slow-motion videos at 480 fps and now the rumors are that the Galaxy S9 will sport a single rear camera while the larger Galaxy S9+ will be donning dual rear camera setup that will be vertically aligned. The new buzz in the smartphone world is that the Galaxy S9 and S9+ might carry a new camera feature that first appeared on Samsung’s W2018 flagship clamshell handset, which will enable the users to adjust the aperture of the 12MP snapper between f/1.5 and f/2.4 before taking a pic.
The rumor mill is also busy in spreading the news that both the handsets will be available on pre-orders from March 1 and the shipments of the pre-ordered units would kick off on March 16.
