The South Korean phone maker, Samsung has announced a price cut of Rs 5,000 on the Samsung Galaxy A phones: A5 and the A7. The MOP or Market Operating Price of the Samsung Galaxy A5 is now Rs 25,990 while the Galaxy A7 is available at Rs 23,900. Considering this price drop, both phones are now even more value-for-money proposition in the mid-range spec smartphone range.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 is adorned with a 5.2-inch full HD AMOLED display and is powered by the company’s 1.9GHz Exynos 7 octa-core processor. This processor is coupled with a 3GB RAM and the A5 has an internal storage of 32GB. Internal storage can be expanded using a microSD card. The Galaxy A5 gets a 16MP camera at both ends with f/1.9 aperture LED flash support at the rear end. The A5 is offered with a 3,000mAh battery.
Coming to the Samsung Galaxy A7, it has some of the specs and features similar to the Samsung Galaxy A5. However, the more expensive Galaxy A7 packs in a 3,600mAh battery with fast charging. It also has a larger 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. Both phones are offered with Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box which can be updated. Connectivity options on the Galaxy A5 and A7 include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C cable, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and NFC.
