Putting a full stop on all the rumors regarding the cancellation of the Redmi Note 5 from Xiaomi in favor of Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, new renders of the smartphone Redmi Note 5 have been leaked. There are some minor changes from the earlier leaks. Definitely, one can’t say this with confirmation as nothing is official as of now. Still, one can imagine that the Redmi Note 5 will be making its way this year, as this render comes immediately after the buzz of the device cancellation started floating in the smartphone world.

The newly leaked render, which has been spotted online, shows that the handset – Redmi Note 5 will be nearly bezel-less, as the image highlights a thinner bottom bezel. In fact, the bezel is much smaller in comparison to the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus and the bottom bezel is also thinner with respect to that of the Mi MIX 2. Hence, one can understand that the selfie camera and sensors will be placed at the top beside the speaker.
With silver antenna lines, the Mi logo and the curved sides make it just the patent Redmi device as expected, but in terms of camera it is quite different from the past renders that were leaked. The Redmi Note 5 will have two sensors without sharing the same housing and no LED flash to separate the fingerprint scanner and the camera sensors. Furthermore, the handset will be sporting a 5.99” FHD+ display similar to the Redmi 5 Plus. It will also be accompanied by a mysterious Snapdragon 632 chipset.

18 days agoCertainly, if this smartphone gets launched with these features, it definitely will be throwing a challenge to other mid-range smartphones, as it has the highest screen-to-body ratio. Although, there is nothing official with respect to the Snapdragon 632 SoC. It doesn’t even make much sense that Qualcomm will be releasing any processor, falling in between the 630 and 636, as Snapdragon 630 has not made much impression on the users and there are no devices with 636 till now. Only time will tell how far these rumors turn to be true, but one can be certain that the Redmi Note 5 will be getting released soon.
