Oreo May Launch Android Themed Cookies Soon

Google finally unveiled 8th iteration of the Android software, Android Oreo yesterday, when the entire United States of America witnessed a solar eclipse, which occurs once in 100 years. The Android is named after popular chocolate and cream cookie called Oreo. And now, the company is expected to launch the Android themed cookies for users to munch on.

According to Mashable, the cookie maker Oreo made a batch of specially branded cookies, featuring Android Oreo logo and the traditional Oreo logo on the other side along with the green filling. These limited edition cookies were made especially for Google Android Oreo’s New York event.

To recall, Android had partnered with a major brand for launching the dessert-themed Android update. Four year ago, the company had partnered with Nestle when in launched KitKat. Limited edition KitKat bars were sold in a handful of countries. There was an offer associated with it, people who bought the Android edition of KitKats had a chance to win Nexus 7 tablets or other Google goodies.

Google might repeat the strategy by introducing Android-themed Oreo cookies in the market. There is no official statement from Google in this regard, though. A statement by Oreo-maker Mondelez said that the partnership between both the companies will involve a variety of global initiatives designed in order to create innovative, playful experience for both Android and Oreo fans.

Notably, the Android Oreo has been released by Google and is available for immediate download by Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL and a few Nexus devices. Other smartphone users will have to wait for a bit longer for smartphone manufacturing companies to launch their own version of the Android Oreo skin.
