After all the rumors and speculations, finally, the Chinese smartphone giant launched its latest selfie-centric phone, the Oppo F5 in India today. The smartphone was first launched in the Philippines on October 26 and today it was launched in India during an event in Mumbai.

The Oppo F5 saw some major upgrades as compared to its predecessor Oppo F3 in terms of camera, display and most importantly the hardware.

The most innovative feature of the Oppo F5 is that it now comes with AI beauty technology for your selfies.

Price, Availability And Launch Offers

The Oppo F5 with 4GB RAM+32GB ROM and an expandable memory up to 256GB is priced at INR 19,990.Also, another variant of Oppo F5 with 6GB RAM+64GB ROM is priced at INR 24,990. Both the variants will be available in two colors: Black and Gold.

It will be available for pre-order starting from November 2 to November 8. It will go on sale beginning from November 9.

Oppo F5 Specifications:

As mentioned above the Oppo F5 features some major upgrades in the specifications.The smartphone now comes with a 6-inch FHD display with a screen to body ratio of 84.2%. The screen to body ratio is 18:9 for a thrilling experience in movies and gaming. The screen has a resolution of 2160 X 1080 pixels.

If we talk about the performance, the Oppo F5 is powered by an Octacore processor with 40% faster reaction time as compared to its predecessors.

The smartphone is integrated with a 4GB of RAM for efficient multitasking and 32GB of ROM for storing huge amount of data. It also comes with triple card slot frame capable of housing dual SIM cards and a memory card.

In addition to that, the Oppo F5 is now equipped with Color OS 3.2 and Android 7.1 that enhances its performance by 23.9 %.

Oppo F5 Camera:

As we are well aware that the Oppo smartphones are well known for their amazing selfie experience but this time Oppo F5 has taken the Selfie game to a whole new level.

The Oppo has introduced Artificial intelligence for the selfie camera and they are calling it “AI Beauty technology”. The AI technology is able to source data from among a million human database and is able to provide a personalized beautification to the users with 200+ facial recognition spots.

The AI technology is able to project the exact amount of light required for the face irrespective of the background.
The Oppo F5 features a 20MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture for capturing more light. It also features Bokeh effect that helps in focusing on the actual character taking the selfie.

The rear camera is a 16MP camera with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. There is no led flash included at the front which came a bit of a surprise.

Talking about the design, the Oppo F5 features a Sleek unibody design, curved surface for hand grip and a 0.4mm of laser carving.

The ColorOS 3.2 features O-share that allows the user to share files to other Oppo users 100 times faster than normal Bluetooth. Another amazing feature of the Color OS3.2 is the split option that enables the user to multitask in the same screen. You can keep using the app and at the same time watch your favorite video by splitting the screen into two halves.

Oppo will soon launch another smartphone by December which they are calling “The Oppo F5 youth”.
