According to the latest iteration of the Mobile Industry Consumer Insight (MICI) report which was compiled by the CyberMedia Research (CMR), OnePlus is India’s “highest recommended brand”. This report is based on the data collected by the company in September, OnePlus has managed to surpass both Apple and Vivo, as this brand’s smartphone consumers are most likely to suggest to their friends, family, and acquaintances.
OnePlus is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer and was founded in 2013. The company has quickly spread its products across the world including India. The Indian consumers have highly placed this brand in much more smaller categories as defined by the CyberMedia Research. This BBK Electronics-owned company also managed to be proclaimed as a smartphone brand whose devices have the highest resale value in the country. In addition to this, the company was also placed second in the “Trust and Desirability” category and got surpassed only by HTC. The survey even suggests that OnePlus is leading the local industry in regards to the general brand satisfaction and ease of repair, with 96% of the customers being pleased with the availability of the spare parts for the brand’s devices. Another category in which OnePlus beats its competition in India is the problem resolution speed as 90% of its customers are satisfied with the company’s after-sales services.
Few of the other notable things that can be taken from this survey include that Indian consumers consider Google as the most innovative company in the country and OnePlus’s sister firm OPPO as a company with the highest brand visibility along with being rated as having the most memorable advertisements across all platforms and 98% of the smartphone users in the country have a habit of accessing social media networks on their handsets only while less than a third of them use their smartphones for online shopping.
The CyberMedia Research clearly shows the appreciation and great customer satisfaction which has been given by the Chinese manufacturer, OnePlus in India. From being termed as the “highest recommend brand” to being placed 2nd in the category “Trust and desirability”, the brand is surely on a rise in the Indian market.
