Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Passes JerryRigEverything’s Test

Samsung has just the right knack to pull through its flaws and after the disaster of Galaxy Note 7, it has successfully launched Galaxy Note 8 which is nothing short of a beauty with exclusive design and high-end features. With experts giving their reviews on the specs and functioning of the phone, everything seems to be falling right in place for Galaxy Note 8. What more could Samsung ask for when it passed the durability test too.

On the scratch test, Galaxy Note 8 does not get a bit scratched on the first 5 levels. But as the scratch test reaches level 6, first signs of scratches start appearing and get deeper at level 7. This according to Jerry is quite normal when compared with similar smartphones like iPhone 7. The front camera and sensors are well protected with Gorilla Glass 5 and with metal body earphones too pass the test. However the S pen does get scratched and gets stuck in phone when the scratched pen is inserted back in the phone.

The back glass too gets scratched at level 6 which is again fine. The camera is pretty sturdy and doesn’t get scrapped, however the fingerprint sensor does get scratched. But again the fingerprint can still be read. On the buttons and frame front, since they are of metal they can get scrapped. Galaxy Note 8 does not get a bit scratched on the first 5 levels. Moving on next was the fire endurance test. Galaxy Note 8 gets permanently damaged in 10 seconds after its put on fire. While this was fairly expected, the most gruesome test was the bend test. The bend test was carried out on normal level of force with no machinery force. Here again Galaxy Note 8 gets a thumbs up as it is next to impossible to bend the phone.

Galaxy Note 8 seems to have passed the durability test on all scales measuring from scratch test to bend test. Since the phone comes with a high end price tag, it is only a better choice to use screen protector to save it against odd falls and drops.
