Ever since Nokia has made a comeback in January this year, it is just not ready to leave any stone unturned. The HMD-Global owned smartphone manufacturer launched six phones this year and also announced up to Android P updates for all its phone.
Nokia rolled out the Android Oreo update for the Nokia 5 recently. Now, the Finnish giant has rolled out the camera app update introducing new features to the camera on Nokia 5.
The new camera app update brings telephoto mode and wide-angle mode to Nokia 5. The phone now makes use of 2x telephoto zoom but also wide-angle mode. The update seems strange as Nokia 5 comes with a single camera setup on both sides and no single camera setup can shoot both wide-angle and telephoto.
The Gizmochina reports that the only explanation to this vague move can be teasing the features that may come with the upcoming devices. The current flagship smartphone, the Nokia 8 comes with a single rear camera setup while next year’s flagship smartphone,
Nokia 9 is expected to come with a dual rear camera setup. The move suggests that there could a telephoto and a wide-angle lens at the back of Nokia 9. The update also provides control of the manual mode of the camera providing users the ability to manually select shutter speed, adjust ISO and many other manual controls.
