While we have been eagerly waiting for the new Nokia 8 flagship, the company in the meantime announced the benefits for the other Nokia phones as well. HMD Global, the firm producing the Android series for the company confirmed that all Android devices will receive two years of Android OS upgrade. To be specific, the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and the Nokia 6 smartphones are to receive the Android Oreo and upcoming Android P update by 2018.
Although the name is still to be confirmed, Android O features were revealed at the Google I/O conference and many believe that it will be called Android Oreo after the cookie snack, just as Android KitKat was named after the chocolate bar.
The Android Oreo includes updates like improved notifications, better battery management, picture-in-picture mode, adaptive icons, improved sound quality, password autofill, multi-display support and improved keyboard input among others.
