Nokia made a comeback in mobile phone market with Nokia 6 in the month of January this year. And now, Nokia 6 has joined the list of smartphones from Nokia to get the Android Oreo update as the company rolled out the beta build of Android Oreo. Owners will have to sign up for ‘Nokia phones beta labs’ and get a Android Oreo beta build before its stable launch later. Nokia 8 and Nokia 5 have already received the update.
How To Sign Up For Nokia 6 Android Oreo Beta Build
Go Nokia phones beta labs and sign up using your Google Account. Now, submit IMEI number and other asked details and you will get the notification for the Android 8.0 Oreo software update within 12 hours.
It is recommended to backup the device before proceeding to Android 8.0 Oreo beta installation. The users will have an option to roll back to Android Nougat if the Oreo beta does not feel right.
The update brings features like Autofill, PIP, Notification Dots and faster boot times for the Nokia 6.
An official statement regarding the Android 8.0 Oreo beta said, “Just one week after the Nokia 5 Android Oreo beta labs programme, we are delighted to offer the same opportunity to Nokia 6 owners. With the Android Oreo beta on the Nokia 6, you can take a first look at amazing new features that improve usability and multi-tasking, while boosting battery life.”
