Launched in India last month, Nokia 8, HMD Global’s first flagship device of 2017 is now available for sale in India via Amazon. Notably, the phone’s sale coincides with Amazon’s upcoming Great Indian Festival sale. The smartphone has however been made available to buy from offline retailers across the country from Saturday at stores such as Croma, Reliance, Poorvika, Sangeetha Mobiles and BigC among others.
Nokia 8 is priced at Rs. 36,999 in India and it comes packed with various launch offers as well, as told by the company at the smartphone’s India launch last month. If you are a Reliance Jio customer, you could get up to 100GB additional 4G data on the purchase of your Nokia 8. An additional 10GB Jio 4G data with a recharge of Rs 309 (every time) or above is also available. However, this offer is valid until August 31, 2018, only.
In addition to this, customers will also get access to special Nokia Mobile Care Concierge Service available in 50 cities across India. Moreover, Amazon India is offering No cost EMIs starting at Rs 1,759 as well. To add to offers and to the festive spirits, On Amazon India only, you can buy the Nokia 8 smartphone in exchange for your old phone as well. The online marketplace is offering an exchange value of up to Rs 9,500.
Nokia 8 is available to be bought in Polished Blue, Steel, Tempered Blue and Polished Copper color variants. The smartphone sports a 5.3-inch IPS QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. There is also a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating on the screen for protection.

10 days agoThe company is betting on the phone’s camera. The phone has 13MP + 13MP dual sight rear cameras with Zeiss optics. Here, one is a color lens and the other is a monochrome sensor. Optical image stabilization is however limited to the 13MP color sensor. Also, the camera has f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and dual tone flash. The front camera is a 13MP and sports PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and a display flash.
The highlight, the USP of the Nokia 8 is its Bothie feature that will allow its users to use both front and the rear cameras simultaneously with the Dual-Sight mode, popularly known as Bothie mode. Nokia 8 also lets you record 4K videos with Nokia OZO spatial 360-degree audio. The Dual-Sight mode can even be used during Facebook Live streaming.
Nokia 8 comes powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card slot. The phone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Nokia 8 is also backed by a non-removable 3090mAh battery. The smartphone is 151.5 x 73.7 x 7.9 mm in size.
