Samsung Galaxy Z Rumoured To Come With 100% Screen-To-Body Ratio

The bezel-less display are a trend these days and we have seen some of biggest flagship device including Apple iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8, LG V30, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and Essential P1. Out of all these, the Essential P1 comes with a the highest screen to body ratio of 84.9 percent. The Galaxy Note 8 comes with a 84 percent screen to body ratio. The most expensive smartphone till date, the iPhone X comes with a 82.9 percent screen to body ratio. What do you think will the highest screen-to-body ratio in a device launching in 2018? The answer is 100 percent. Yes, you heard it right. Samsung is gearing up to come up with a true bezel-free device, Galaxy Z that will have a screen to body ratio of 100 percent.

The information comes from a video shared by YouTube channel Mrwhosetheboss which suggests that the Galaxy Z will come with no bezels at all. The Mrwhosetheboss claims that a patent filed by Samsung dated 30/11/2017 reveals that the South Korean giant along with the detail of how they are going to go about it.

If you are wondering if the phone’s display will be a complete bezel-free one, where will the front camera go? You do not need to worry as Samsung will come up with an under display camera. The phone will switch off the pixels in front of the camera when using the front camera. The camera will only be visible only when in use but will not be visible when not in use. The phone will also use a software algorithm to correct the distortion created by the display.

Samsung will replace the physical volume rockers with virtual one to reduce repairs and increase water resistance. The home button on the Galaxy Z will come with an under display home button as well which will be a pressure sensitive one.

The fingerprint sensor will also come embedded in the screen that will activate whenever users apply fingerprint pressure to the area on the screen.

Until now, no official statement has been made by the company but if the rumours are to be believed the phone will come with the highest screen to body ratio a phone can have. As intrigued as we are, it is very difficult to wait for the phone to be unveiled next year or even later.
