After updating its selected smartphones with Android Oreo 8.0 update a few days back, Motorola is now gearing up to launch the Moto X4 smartphone in India on October 3, 2017. The notifications of ‘Block Your Date’ have been floating across media channels with the hashtag #XperiencePerfection confirming the launch date. The Moto X4 was first showcased at the IFA 2017 in Berlin.

The mobile giant has also kickstarted its promotional activities by teasing Moto X4’s images on various platforms on social media. Recently, a snap of the X4 was tweeted from its official handle bearing dual-camera setup at the rear ascertaining that the upcoming phone will be getting it.

Moto X4

Running on an Android 7.1.2 Nougat, the Moto X4 comes with 3000mAh battery with turbocharging. It is bestowed with a 5.2-inch full HD LTPS IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, which ensures the phone remains in protective mode always. The handset is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor along with Adreno 508GPU. Furthermore, it supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11.ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C port for enhanced connectivity.

Among others, the feature which gives a distinct identity to the Moto X4 is definitely the dual camera setup at the rear. It comes with a combination of the 12-megapixel sensor with 1.4-micron pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, and dual pixel autofocus along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle with a 120-degree field of view, aperture f/2.2 and 1.12-micron pixels.

Moreover, the camera also gets amazing modes like the bokeh effect, selective black and white, background change and 4K video recording. The presence of phase-detection and dual-tone LED flash further spruces its usability. The front camera gets a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 lens and front LED flash along with a 4-megapixel adaptive low-light mode option.

Available in two storage and RAM variants, the Moto X4 gets 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage in one variant while the other trim is equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of phone memory. Both the X4 variants have an expandable memory function of up to 2TB via micro SD card slot. The Moto X4 will be offered in two shades – Super Black and Sterling Blue.
