So the wait is over and here comes the official word from Xiaomi about the launch of Mi Mix 2 smartphone. The smartphone will be unveiled in China at an event on September 11, 2017. Initial buzz suggested that the latest Mi Mix will be featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and will run on Android Nougat-based MIUI 9 operating system. Though now a new leak opens up two important revelations, a) Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will flaunt the latest Android 8.0 Oreo inside and, b) the smartphone featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 836 processor. As there is no clarity on the launch of Snapdragon 836 processor by Qualcomm, and with Mix 2 getting unwrapped on September 11, the chances of it getting the latest chip are minimal.
Some more surprises that the leak suggests are Mi Mix 2 featuring the Android Oreo with MIUI 9 cladding on top, a 6.2-inch bezel less display with 2960 x 1440 pixels resolution, dual camera set up with a primary camera of 20MP sensor, 256GB internal storage space, 3D facial recognition, 6GB RAM and a 4400mAh battery. Although, the leak contains no details about the secondary back camera and the front camera.

15 days agoTo recall, some of the initial leaks of Mi Mix 2 smartphone revealed that the latest Mix will feature slimmer bezels compared to its predecessor, earlier Mi Mix featured a 93% of screen-to-body ratio. The leaks further stated that Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be presented in three variants namely 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. Moreover, the largest of the three, the 8GB RAM variant, is supposed to be a limited edition variant.
While in India, Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of its dual camera phone tomorrow that is September 5. As per close sources, the Chinese Apple will introduce an all new smartphone series in India. Going by the rumors the new smartphone by Xiaomi will be an Android One based phone, monikered as Xiaomi A1. This is the same phone that the company has been working upon with Google. Reports also claim that the alleged ‘Xiaomi A1’ will be the upgraded Mi 5X that will run on Android One.
