UPDATE: Mi Mix 2 Launched With Bezel-Less Display, Snapdragon 835 And 6GB RAM
Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi will be launching its bezel-less smartphone Mi Mix 2 in India on October 10. The information has been confirmed by Xiaomi India MD Abhishek Kumar Jain on Twitter. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 was launched in China on September 11, after which the company had confirmed that it will be launching the device in India soon. Similar to Mi Mix, the Mi Mix 2 houses a bezel-less design with top of the line features.
The Mi Mix 2 was launched by the company along with the Mi Mix 2 Special Edition. The three standard variants of the device cost CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs 32,300) for 6GB RAM/64GB storage, CNY 3,599 (roughly Rs 35,300) for 6GB RAM/128GB storage and CNY 3,999 for 6GB RAM/256GB storage variant.
The Mi Mix 2 Special Edition had been priced at CNY 4,699 (roughly 46,000). The special edition of the device will feature an all-ceramic body, 8GB of RAM and an internal storage of 128GB. The announcement made by the company mentions Mi Mix 2 only, while there is no information about the launch of a special edition of the device.

1 days agoThe Mi Mix 2 features a 5.99-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 403ppi. The aspect ratio is of 18:9 pixels with an edge-to-edge design. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked at a speed of 2.4GHz. The device comes with 6GB of RAM and internal storage of 64, 128 and 256GB. The special edition of the device comes with 8GB of RAM and an internal storage of 128GB.
In terms of optics, the device sports a 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor with an aperture of f/2.0. It also features optical image stabilization and facial recognition feature. On the front, there is a 5MP camera that also features facial recognition function. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G LTE, dual band, Bluetooth v5.0 and USB Type-C.
The device will compete with the already launched bezel-less flagship smartphones including Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+, LG G6 and Vivo V7+. As per earlier reports stating that the device went out of stock in just 58 seconds during its initial sale in China, it is already predicted to be a game changer for the Chinese OEM.
