Lenovo unveiled its new flagship smartphone, K8 Plus at an event in New Delhi today. The device features MediaTek Helio chipset and sports dual camera setup. The company also made the announcement for its upcoming device Lenovo K8.
The device features a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and 401 ppi pixel density. It runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 clocked at 2.6Ghz. The device offers 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB with the help of a dedicated microSD slot.
In terms of optics, there is a dual camera setup on the rear with a 12-megapixel Purecell sensors and a 5-megapixel sensor to deliver the professional like photos. The camera is also capable of delivering Portrait Mode as well as Bokeh Mode. The device comes in all metal body and is made available in two colour options including Venom Black and Fine Gold. Lenovo K8 Plus also has dual-Nano SIM and USB OTG support. There is a fingerprint sensor, which is located on the back just below the camera.
For music lovers out there, the Lenovo K8 Plus features Dolby Atmos audio enhancement feature, and the device houses a dedicated music button on the left edge. The device is backed by a 4000mAh battery that is capable of delivering 2 days of backup, 13 hours of web browsing and 100 hours of music playback.
Launch offers include that the device will come with Moto Pulse 2 headphones at Rs 599 (standard price Rs 1,599), up to Rs 10,000 discount when exchanging old smartphone, additional 30GB data on Jio, Rs 100 discount on the Flipkart SmartBuy 5W Bluetooth speaker, and an extra discount of Rs 15 per cent on fashion and lifestyle products on September 7 and 8.
The company also made the announcement that it will launch its new device K8 in the upcoming weeks, via offline stores. While there is a single camera on the back and MediaTek P20 processor, all other features of the device are almost similar to K8 Plus.
