The much awaited and hyped iPhone 8 or iPhone X is to be launched today. The day has finally arrived and Apple lovers and non-Apple fans as well couldn’t be more excited to see what Apple has got in store this time as it’s the company’s 10th anniversary. The event is going to be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in the new Apple Park campus for the first time. The Theater has a seating capacity of only 1,000 people whereas last year’s Apple’s iPhone 7 event was held at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium that accommodated as many as 5,000 people. This speaks of exclusivity from all sides.
Now, what can we expect from the tech giant’s anniversary phone though? We know that three iPhone models are going to be launched. But we still we are note sure as to what the phones are going to be named as. We don’t know whether Apple will continue the tradition of attaching an “S” to its existing model number, or if the new iPhone is going to be called iPhone 8. The bet is on some sort of “S” model because there is a new iPhone that is being expected which could be called the iPhone X. After a firmware leak on Saturday, an iOS developer spotted references to the anniversary edition. It’s said to come with a ‘bezel-less display’ and to be called iPhone X.

Besides confirming the new wireless charging feature, Robert Hwang, CEO of Taiwan-based iPhone assembler Wistron, also revealed that the forthcoming smartphones will have a water-resistant design. A lot of rumors, a lot of speculations. What to expect and what not to expect. The list is endless. But we are just hours away from the big launch. Let’s be patient and excited!!
