The most anticipated event of the year is the launch of Apple’s products almost every year. But before the actual reveal, rumors and leaks keep surfacing from left right and center. And in lieu of these rumors, another one that has recently come out of the water is the color variants of the phone.
Apparently, according to a picture posted on the Chinese website Weibo, the iPhone 8 may come in three different colors namely, black, white and a new color that has never been used by Apple before. The color resembles a copper or a champagne gold hue.
As indicated by iPhone tipster Benjamin Geskin before, the iPhone 8 may come in what is being called “Blush Gold”. The pinkish “rose gold” is probably not in the cards that used to come in previous models but Blush Gold is in. Not just that, the trusted tipster also said that even the SIM card trays are going to come in the color variants as well. The black, the silver and the “Blush Gold”.
Let’s be honest, the color of the iPhone is one of the deciding factors when it comes to buying one apart from the features and the OS. As its being talked about for months about the bezel-less screen display of the upcoming Apple iPhone 8, the only way the phone will look good is if it comes in variants that have black front sides at least. Nothing else. This way, the top of the display on either side of the notch can be reserved just for the status bar info, which is cut out for the speakers and sensors.
The background is always going to be black making the notch look non-existent. So the color variants have to support that theme or else the phone might look gross and unappealing. And the new leaks about the color variants tell a story we don’t want to hear.
We love Apple but we are critical too. Super excited to see what is in store from the tech giant this time around. Is the phone going to be far more expensive and unaffordable than the previous ones? Or it won’t burn a hole in the pocket? Will the features make us ecstatic or disappointed? But the main question right now is the color options of the phone. Nothing is official as of yet. Only speculations.
The event is at 10 a.m. PT, Tuesday, September 12. The company is expected to reveal the iPhone X, 7S, and 7S Plus, as well as the third-generation Apple Watch, and even a 4K-capable version of its Apple TV set-top box. Let’s wait a few more days then! Shall we? Or keep speculating and looking out for leaks!!
