The countdown of excitement has begun as Apple gears up for the India launch of its coveted Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus September 29 at 6pm. The pre-orders for the same will start from September 22 at 12am midnight. Although the global sale of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will go on sale a week prior to India launch. The pre-orders for the latest Apple smartphone will initiate on the September 22 at 12pm on Flipkart. The leading e-commerce platform has created a dedicated page for the new iPhone duo along with a ‘Notify Me’ icon for the phones.
The iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus will be introduced in two variants namely 64GB and 256GB variant model with a starting price of INR 64,000 and will be made available in Gold, Silver and Space Gray shades. This time the advertising and marketing campaign will be rolled out on a broader scale, which will cover platforms such as airport, digital medium, radio and print. Come September 18 and the digital campaign will start on the official Apple website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Besides this, on the launch day i.e. September 29, the consumer launch events will take place in cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, National Capital Region, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune. On the launch date, Apple is ensuring that its Apple watch and Apple TV are available at more than 10,000 retailers across the country.
In India, the pre-orders commencing on September 22 will have special launch day cash back offer of INR 10,000 on the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus for the customers using Citibank cards. Moreover, the cash back offers benefit increases to INR 15,000 if the consumer opts to purchase a new iPhone and Watch Series 3 together.
