Apple is aiming to launch iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in India on September 29. As India is one of the most important smartphone consumer markets, that’s why Apple is planning to introduce new iPhone just after a week of its launch in the US. The brand is working to ensure to make this grand launching by making sure that the latest iPhones, Apple watch, and Apple TV should be available at more than 10,000 retailers.
The brand is targeting to get 50% hike in sales with this big launch as compared to last two-year opening. Spokesperson of Apple India stated “This is the earliest iPhone has ever been available for customers in India.”
Apple is also coming with pre-booking scenario along with special launch day cash back offer for Citibank cardholders, which will start from September 22. The offer will include cash back of INR 10,000 on the iPhone 8 and the INR 15,000 cash back if you purchase iPhone and Watch Series 3 together.
For sales, the brand is not tracking past sale records from the retailers or large chains. They will provide more devices big dealers as the stock will be reloaded but first, they will sign an agreement that outlet can start sale only after 6 pm on 29th September.
Apple officials stated, “company officials have indicated they will increase the number of shop promotions during the launch phase and are extremely bullish about a positive response considering the year the new iPhone will get the full festive season benefits of both Dussehra and Diwali, unlike just Diwali in earlier years.”
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will get launch in India in two options 64GB and 256GB with the starting price of INR 64,000. While the new Watch Series 3 will range in between INR 29,000 and INR 31,900. There is no official declaration about the launch of iPhone X, but expected to hit the market around one week later than iPhone 8 along with the price tag of INR 89,000.
Apple has also announced to discontinue iPhone 5S and iPhone 7Plus models after this new launch. With this whole arrangement, the league will start form iPhone SE (32GB and 128GB), iPhone 6, iPhone 6S and iPhone 7 with the addition of upcoming models.
