HMD Global Will Start This Year By Rolling Out Nokia 6 (2018)

At last, it is clear that Nokia will start this year by unveiling its first flagship device with the model number Nokia TA-1054. The handset with this model number has surfaced on Geekbench website. Already, this smartphone had once appeared last year on TENAA certification list. Although, there are differences in the specs revealed on the TENAA and Geekbench, still one can say with certainty that this device is none other than Nokia 6.

Interestingly, the Chinese retailer, Suning, has released a teaser poster that shows the launching of Nokia 6 on 5th of January. HMD Global has made no official announcement of any such news, but one cannot ignore the specs of the NokiaTA-1054 that has surfaced on Geekbench. Nonetheless, the features of the smartphone appear quite intriguing.

According to the Geekbench the smartphone Nokia 6 will run on Android 8.0.0 Oreo rather than Android 7.1.1 Nougat, which was suggested by TENAA listing last year.

Furthermore, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 630 chipset and is clocked at 2.21GHz. The smartphone will sport a 5.5-inch display with the traditional HMD Global 16:9 aspect ratio coupled with 4GB of RAM. Surprisingly, this time the smartphone will be accompanied with slim bezels and a fingerprint scanner on the rear side of the device beneath the camera setup.

Also, Nokia 6 (2018) has scored 969 points in the single-core test on the benchmark scores and 4511 points in the multi-core test. Definitely, this score is not quite impressive in comparison to smartphones powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 such as the U11 Life from HTC. Till now HMD Global has not decided the date of launch for Nokia 6, but one can expect it to happen sooner.
