- The image shows bezels that prove to be deal breaker for Google
- Google is launching the Pixel 2 smartphones on Wednesday
- The images revealed major changes in the home screen
We are only a few days away from the official launch of Google’s Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Popular tipster Evan Blass leaked two images of the upcoming Pixel 2 today and we have good reasons to believe that guy looking at his brilliant track record from the past.
These latest images revealed that Google is planning to make some major changes to the home screen for the upcoming Pixel smartphones. As evident from the images, the “Google Search” bar has been shifted to the bottom of the screen from the top which definitely is a smart move from Google as it will be more accessible.

Another addition to the home screen is a new pop-up that reminds the user of his next task, time for the task and the current weather. This is similar to the previous “reminder” option from Google calendar.
On the previous pixel devices, the Google search option and Google reminder were non-customizable. Let us hope the upcoming smartphones have little more flexibility since the “reminder” pop-ups could be annoying for some users. Google might also customize the looks of the search bar.

Earlier, there were rumors that the upcoming Pixel smartphones will feature a bezel-less display. However, the leaked images clearly show a screen with light bezels on both the sides, just like what we had seen on the LG V30. We can expect a bigger display for the device looking at the images, probably a larger 6-inch display.

The launcher on the new pixel smartphone has also gone through some changes including the upcoming Sense Home update, as revealed by LlabTooFeR on Twitter.
There is a speaker present at the bottom of the smartphone, hence confirming the fact that the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will feature stereo speakers.
