Flipkart has nailed it this time with an announcement that has left the consumers thrilled and critics flabbergasted. The Bengaluru based Indian electronic commerce company has made an entry into the smartphone market with a dual camera smartphone Capture+. The device has been manufactured keeping in mind the demands of Indian users. Back in July this year, the Billion self-brand was introduced to the world and now it has unraveled its first smartphone Capture+.
Price and Availability
The smartphone has been unveiled in two variants. The first one is accompanied with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage while the second one comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. The former has been priced at Rs 10,999 and the latter at Rs 12,999. Both the variants will be available in Mystic Black and Desert Gold colours. Carrying forward the “Made in India” concept the company has offered the consumers with finance options too, like the discounts on the mode of payment from debit or credit cards, no cost installments, etc.
Specifications
Sporting a metallic body, the Capture+ will have rounded corners for easier grip and will run on stock Android 7.1.2 Nougat. The device also promises of no bloatware and also carries an upgrade to Google Android Oreo. As far as the display is concerned, Capture+ will have a 5.5-inc full-HD with 1080 x 1920 pixels. The device will also be carrying 2.5D Dragontrail glass on top with a 401ppi pixel density. The smartphone will support 128GB expandable memory through microSD card and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset.
Nothing has been officially unveiled by the company with respect to the free cloud storage service, which its teaser has been highlighting. Amazingly, it appears as if the Capture+ is the battery centric device and that is why it is backed by a 3500mAh battery with a life of two-days. Strikingly, the smartphone also embraces quick charge support with USB Type-C. According to the Flipkart, this charge will be able to offer up to 7 hours of battery life after just 15 minutes of charging.
Camera
The camera of the device is definitely going to lure the users. Amazingly, the smartphone is packed with dual cameras on the back side. Both the cameras have 13-megapixel sensors accompanied with the dual flash module. The users will now be able to take portrait mode shots with blur background highlights. Other than this there are other intriguing features such as monochrome sensors and RGB and monochrome sensors that offer a depth of field effect.
In addition to this, the device will also provide after-sales service supported by the pan India network of F1 Info Solutions, which is currently owned by Flipkart. Whether the Capture+ will be able to capture the Indian smartphone market is a question which will be answered by the time itself, but as of now, the device seems to be promising with all the specifications and price.
