Coolpad has added another model to its portfolio, the Coolpad Cool M7. Pre-orders of the phone have already commenced on JD.com and it is available in China for CNY 2,699. That around Rs 26,000 which is quite impressive for a phone that packs a lot of hardware.
Speaking of which, the Coolppad Cool M7 packs a Snapdragon 625 SoC processor with Android 7.1.1 Nougat operation system as well as Cool’s UI customisation options. The 5.5-inch Full HD device has the processor clocked up to 2GHz and is paired with an Adreno 506 GPU as well as 4GB RAM. That’s quite a performance figure compared to its segment. Internal storage is 64 GB and the colour options available with the Coolpad Cool M7 are two, Matte Black and Blue.
The display has 1080X1920 pixels is protected by 2.5D glass protection. The phone packs a 3,400mAh battery which is also appreciable. The camera, however, doesn’t have a dual sensor setup at the rear. It is a 12MP Sony IMX632 unit with f/1.8 aperture and dual-tone LED flash support. The front camera is a 13MP unit with f/2.2 aperture and a 79.2-degree field-of-view.

4 days agoIn terms of connectivity, the Coolpad Cool M7 is offered 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, GPS with GLONASS and USB 2.0 Type-C. The design of the Coolpad Cool M7 would remind you of the iPhone 5S with its round physical home button which has a fingerprint sensor integrated into it. Dimension-wise, the phone is 151.16X74.32X6.9mm and weighs 152 grams.
When introduced in India, the Coolpad Cool M7 would be a relatively powerful phone considering its specifications and features on offer. However, the company would have to price it right in order to garner a fair market share. Although it is expected to hover in the Rs 25,000 price range for India, considering established players already selling their phones at this price, it would be better to retail the Coolpad Cool M7 lower.
