Chinese phone maker TCL launched its highly anticipated Android Smartphone-BlackBerry Motion at Gitex in Dubai on Sunday. This is the second device launched by TCL since it acquired rights to the BlackBerry brand last year. This device is the company’s attempt to get a slice of the market share with Blackberry’s iconic brand name. BlackBerry Motion is a little like the ‘KEYone’ smartphone that was launched by the company earlier this year.
BlackBerry Motion was initially thought to be called Krypton. The device is an all-touchscreen smartphone with no QWERTY keypad, unlike its predecessor. It comes with a 5.5-inch LCD IPS (720×1280 pixels) touch-screen display with DragonTrail Glass protection and a fingerprint scanner placed at the bottom that doubles up as the home button. The BlackBerry Motion is a mid-range dual-SIM Android 7.1.1 Nougat smartphone.
‘Motion’ is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC processor and comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat that will soon be upgraded to Android Oreo. The handset also has 32GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 2TB) at your beck and call.
