It came as a pause to the OnePlus 5T owners when the official Twitter handle of OnePlus mentioned earlier that the Android 8.0 Oreo open beta rollout for the OnePlus 5T ‘starts now’ as they had been promised an Oreo update at the time of the product launch.
Even though the announcement was made, there has been no update made regarding the open beta version of the OnePlus 5 and as for now, there is no timeline regarding its arrival, however there is a big indication that we might see it soon in the near future.
OnePlus 5T Specifications
The specifications of the device include a 6-inch full-HD + (1080×1920 pixels) Full Optic AMOLED display. The smartphone runs OxygenOS 4.7 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It is powered by a 2.45GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 6GB/ 8GB of RAM.
The device is a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone and also sports a dual camera setup with a primary 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor and a secondary 20-megapixel Sony IMX376K telephoto sensor. The front camera has a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling. An additional feature is the new Face Unlock feature. The phone is powered by the battery backup of 3300mAh.

16 days agoAlso, The OnePlus 5 recently got updated with the latest stable build of OxygenOS 5.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. Earlier, in November, the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T also received the same OxygenOS 5.0 software update.
