- The latest render reveals a larger display and thinner bezels
OnePlus has officially announced the launch of its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 5T on November 16 at an event to be held in Berlin and fans are eagerly awaiting to get a glimpse of the smartphone. A few days back, a leaked image revealed the front and back of the device.
Evan Blass, a well-known tipster with an excellent history of leaks twitted an image displaying the top half of the OnePlus 5T even before it was officially announced by the company.
Today, another image has floated across the internet displaying both the sides but this time the smartphone looks different from the previous leaks.
The most prominent change that could be seen in the recent image was that it showed a larger display with thinner bezels on the sides. As speculated, the latest render claims an aspect ratio of 18:9 for the display. The OnePlus 5T is expected to feature a 6-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2160p X 1080p.
According to today’s render, the fingerprint sensor of the OnePlus 5T will be placed on the rear slightly above the OnePlus logo. This seems agreeable considering the large 6-inch display. The previous render claimed a square-shaped fingerprint sensor but the recent image shows a round one.
The OnePlus 5T has a really close resemblance to the recently released Oppo R11S and the thinner bezels on the sides are similar to what we had seen in Samsung Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy S9.
Moving to the rear, the dual camera setup on the OnePlus 5T looks similar to its predecessor.
OnePlus update the information about the launch date and event on its official website. It also promised that the smartphone will come with a “New View”. The event is expected to start at 4 PM GMT.
Meanwhile, when the rival companies like Samsung, Apple, Google etc got rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack, OnePlus 5T has decided to continue with it.
