Recently, the South Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung opened registrations for the Galaxy Note 8 in India. Now, the brand has brought more excitement to the mobile fanatics by sending media invites for their event. According to few online reports earlier, it has been noted that Samsung is going to launch its Galaxy Note 8 in the second week of this month.
As this is a high time in the Indian market due to Diwali, all the mobile manufacturers try to launch their best products at this time. So its expected that Samsung is going to launch its Note 8 in the Indian market as well.
In the US market, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be priced between $930-$960 (approx. Rs 60,000 to 65,000) depending on the carrier opted. This will be the price of the 64GB model while the other higher model will have a higher price tag.
In India, the price of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 might be a little higher in comparison to the US pricing. It is expected that the Note 8 could be sold for more that Rs. 60,000 in the Indian market.

15 days agoTo recall, the phone will come with a 6.3-inch QHD Super AMOLED Infinity display along with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. In order to run this huge phone smoothly, the phone will come fitted with a 6GB RAM and three expandable storage options of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. On the software side, the phone will run on Android Nougat 7.1.1 and will be upgradable with further updates. An Octa-core (4×2.3 GHz & 4×1.7 GHz) would be used in the EMEA region and an Octa-core (4×2.35 GHz Kryo & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo) would be used in USA & China. The GPU used in the EMEA region would be Mali-G71 MP20 and in USA & China, it would be Adreno 540. The phone will have a Non-Removable Li-Ion 3300 mAh battery and will come with options of wireless and wired fast charging.
The phone will also have an Iris scanner, a fingerprint (rear-mounted) sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, heart rate monitor and an SpO2. Note 8 will have options of either a single SIM (Nano-SIM) or Hybrid Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual standby). The phone will be IP68 certified- dust/water proof for over 1.5 meters and for over 30 minutes. Samsung Pay (Visa, MasterCard certified) is also added.
But will a phone of this price be feasible for everyone? A lot of people may be fine with Samsung’s S8, which has a lesser cost than the expected cost of Note 8. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is for the power users and lovers, for those whose usage is much higher than normal.
The competition is tough between Apple and Samsung, always has been with their huge market share in the mobile world. According to researchers and surveyors, Samsung is the chief brand, which holds 43% market share in the smartphone segment. So let’s wait till the next week and see what Samsung is going to bring for us this festive season.
