Countries having potential markets have always been the supreme target for manufacturers when it comes to rolling out their promising budget smartphones. That is the only reason why markets like India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh etc are chosen to aim at, by Google for pitching their Android One products always. This time, the Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi has taken the lead and is probably going to work with Google for producing such a new device.
For those who don’t know what Android One devices are, these are smartphone devices in which the manufacturing part is carried out by the partnered OEMs but Google manages the rest like, the design, development, marketing, and support of these devices. These devices are low-cost line devices that are stuffed with numerous useful features yet at a very low-cost price to pay for. These devices run on a software, considered to be stock Android where no customisation is possible.
The last month launched Xiaomi MI 5X, is said to be the base of this new Android One device. Hence, this new device is likely to feature a 5.5-inch HD display and would run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It is said to be powered by a 3080mAh battery. According to the new trend, this smartphone is expected to be equipped with a dual 12MP + 12MP camera at the back while a 5MP lens as the selfie camera. Along with all these heavy specifications, it will be packed with all the advanced connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, GPS etc.

0 days agoWith all that decent specifications and features, how much would it cost? The sticker price reads $250(INR 16,000 approximately). Micromax, Karbonn, and Spice are the Indian brands who have tried their hands-on manufacturing Android One device earlier but now, it would be interesting to see if Xiaomi can surpass their sale in India for that matter.
