The announcement for the open sale of Redmi Note 4 comes merely few days after the company announced that 5 million units of the smartphone were sold within six months of its launch. Manu Kumar Jain, Vice President, Xiaomi and MD, Xiaomi India stated in a tweet, “Broke all records to become No. 1 smartphone in Q1 & Q2”.

The official tweet also pointed at the recent rollout of the Android Nougat based MIUI for the Redmi Note 4 users in India. The Redmi Note 4 was launched in January this year in three RAM/storage variant in India: 2GB RAM/32GB storage, 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage priced at Rs 9,999, Rs 10,999 and Rs 12,999.

To recap, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 packs a 5.5-inch IPS Display with a pixel density of 401ppi.
